The eighth annual AEC Excellence Awards competition, co-sponsored by Autodesk, Construction Dive, SmartCities Dive, Informed Infrastructure, and SMPS is already on its way! The awards are an incredible way to honor those in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry who are pushing boundaries with innovative processes and uses of construction technology, paving the way for the future of design and construction.
Awards are presented to small, medium, and large-sized projects across three industry categories:
- Building Design
The fourth award category for Innovator of the Year will honor a pioneering individual who is adopting emerging technology and innovative processes that are new to the AEC industry.
The eighth annual AEC Excellence Awards competition is here
Last year's award winners featured a range of projects, including Facebook’s massive data centers in Ireland, a $4 billion infrastructure mega-project in China, an innovative office expansion in Switzerland, and a hospital project in Florida that used off-site fabrication to stay on track during a major hurricane. This year’s awards will place an even greater focus on innovation and creative uses of technology.
We are proud to announce that the call for entries is now open.
The deadline to submit is June 4, 2019, and entry is free.
A group of international industry experts will judge and score the project entries to decide the winners. Winners will take home a full prize package, including a trip for two to Autodesk University Las Vegas, international media coverage, a feature article about their project on Autodesk.com, extensive social media promotion, and a custom 3D printed trophy and logo to celebrate the achievement.
Finalists will be announced in August, 2019. Winners will be revealed during an exclusive event in October 2019 and honored at the Autodesk University awards celebration in November 2019.
